The 7.35am buliten this morning for Anglia seemed to have ended too quick. Long pause on the weather maps and then the GMTV logo.

Same from Meridian too. We paused on the high shot of the presenter though.

That happend at Tyne Tees aswell. Cringeworthy pause for about 15 seconds. Mark Warr was just moving his papers about.

I remember the last time something like that happened, and he said "Can you get the camera off of me please" Laughing

Same in Central too, treated to at least 20 seconds of the weather summary map.

Relaunching in 2008 - well considering we are halfway through March they best get a move on.
Anyone else think this revision of local bulletins needed to be thought through more, this morning you had the news, sting and back to FiFi and Ben who just had time to say hello and goodbye, maybe they should sign off and say 'LK today follows the news in your area, see you tomorrow'

GMTV have said that "We will also be looking urgently at the way in which our regional news is provided and who will provide it within our daily programme".

"Who will provide it within our daily programme" ? Are they trying to say that the GMTV Local News may not be coming from London Today, Central News, Granada News or Calendar but from another News Company like the same happens in SCOTLAND and NORTHERN IRELAND with the Local GMTV News not coming from STV or UTV but alternative Broadcasting Companies ?.

Bearing in mind that they have just shifted news times I wouldn't be surprised if the relaunch has already happened.

You can read GMTV's review of 2007 and look ahead to 2008 here http://www.gm.tv/index.cfm?articleid=13

They also say that, although they've commissioned it to run throughout 2008, time has come to look at whether to continue with The Sunday Programme in future years, what with the fact that nobody watches it

It would probably have been better if back in 1983, the ITV breakfast licence had been introduced to cover a different time at weekends, starting at 6am on weekends is always going to be a low rating slot
