There used the old music to end the show,

Was that the original music? It sounded like a re-recording.

And cut off the end of the music. A small ending for a BIG breakfast show.

A nice ending, even if a little rushed.

Where was that "something special" that was planned?

could that have been anymore low-key? Not one old clip! Obviously the bosses don't want viewers to feel emotional about GMTV, but they run the risk of not giving viewers enough notice of Daybreak. There'll be loads of viewers on Monday who won't realise what's going on.

It sounded more like the 96 version of the theme with the electric guitar. That was the one used on the breakdown filler for when regional news failed until the final revamp.

Still, a nice little touch
