Have GMTV broadcast the official Ofcom findings yet? I know they mentioned the £2 million fine in the news bulletins.

Incidentally, who get the £2 million?

Correct me if I'm wrong but it will be probably be The Treasury.

There was a good article in today's MediaGuardian about GMTV and the future it might face without any revenue from Premium rate phone-ins...

Marvellous moment on the GMTV Newshour this morning.

Andrew Castle was interviewing the boss of the Digital Switchover campaign.

After the usual questions about needing new TV's and what happens to our VCRs, Andrew Castle said, "What people really want to know is will they still be able to watch Coronation Street?"

The Digital Switchover man replied, "I can assure you that you'll still be able to watch Coronation Street and indeed TV-am , once digital switchover comes." (!)

Andrew replied, "You may know all things digital, but we changed our name to GMTV a long time ago"

The Digital man was very embarrassed.

I saw that too. Was very funny indeed. And to think our digital switchover is being run by people who don't know what happened 15 years ago.

Digit Al. He was operated by wires and Matt Lucas was hiding behind the sofa doing the voice.

If that's what the professionals are like what hope have we got?? Can you believe that someone would go on live tv and make that sort of mistake?

Anyone notice the old titles made an appearance at 08:00 this morning? An error or was it because of the more serious storyline?

Speaking of GMTV, what does everyone think of Andrew basically sole presenting GMTV Today whilst Fiona is doing the reports in Africa?

Wouldn't it be easier for andrew & penny from 6-8:35?

That's what I was thinking, but would GMTV want to bring in someone extra to cover the newsdesk? It would look messy Penny moving from the sofa to the newsdesk.
