Well Ben Shepard left today, seemed a much more low key leaving compared to Penny Smiths but then I guess they had less notice about Ben moving to Sky.

No doubt because Penny had been there much longer than Ben. They've known Ben has been leaving for months - nothing to do with him moving to Sky Sports.

It was only annouced a few weeks ago that he was leaving this soon, he was meant to be there for another month. One thing I did notice this morning was that there was not contribution from Emma.

I thought the send of was quite good, pretty emotional actually and Kate seemed human also! Her hug with Ben at the very end was a nice touch! Talking of Kate, I thought she was really funny today, with little quips and sarky comments throughout the morning!

Ben was always leaving in July - papers just assumed it was September intially...

Yeh no contribution from Emma - but I saw some pictures and she was at the studios today and there are also pictures of her and Ben walking around Southbank

Also, as she is leaving too, for her to say something like "I'll miss you Ben" would be pointless to an extent (imo)

Sunday mirror (p11) says Clare Nasir handed in her resignation on Friday to make a fitness DVD (can't she do both?!). It actually quotes her saying she's had 'an incredible 10 years'.

Don't believe what you read. I hear Clare Nasir was not very well treated.

Interesting you said Clare was treated badly. I was just wondering, I assume Daybreak will be looking for a brand new weather presenter to work alongside Kirsty?

And now there is five (on the top banner/header of the www.gm.tv website.
I don't expect them to remove anyone else now. But the gaps between each presenter no longer helps the positions each presenter is in. Oh well still surprised they made it possible to remove a presenter individually.

I see the threads are now merged. That is a good idea as it was confusing anyway's Smile

And people say GMTV viewers lack intelligence. It really is quite simple - GMTV news here, Daybreak news there. Overlaps where most appropriate.

Doesn't really matter anyway, and hopefully mods will follow the standard procedure when Daybreak launches of closing existing threads and starting a new one so the discussion of on screen presentaion is on page one, not page 443.
