GMTV is a more complicated production and is produced 5 days a week (I never watch so I don't know what they do at the weekend) - it requires a permanant setup.


They certainly used to be a full 7 days a week production, including having the full complement of staff sat in the gallery at weekends while the kids stuff was playing out in case of breaking news.

Indeed, but surely they're only going to move enough of it to maintain the GMTV look for a few weeks, not the whole thing. Perhaps just the area surrounding the sofa.

I doubt they'll be too concerned about any lasting damage - as it'll all be in a skip by mid-September.

Why do I think they're going to use the first set of titles/logo on the final day? Would be nice if they did, bring that iconic [if you like] logo back.

I'm not talking about the logo. I meant showing clips of the old days on the last week. Even a clip off when GMTV just started. Smile

Former GMTV reporter Jackie Kabler has said on Twitter that insiders tell her there was a massacre of GMTV reporters yeterday. She hasn't said which but I'm sure we will find out soon enough.

Matt Arnold and Elaine Wilcox are very rarely seen now, so I am not surprised it is them. Feel sorry for Matt Arnold though especially, he has been with the show for a VERY long time.
