GMTV (1993 - 2010)

Hmm, I can imagine that kind of music working, it does sound quite modern, it'll be interesting to see what the titles are like, but the music does have a hint of one of the Australian breakfast shows by the sounds of it. I'm quite looking forward to this new show now, should look good in HD too.

Please elaborate on why 'it serves them right'.

I'm not sure when this happened, but the company name has been changed to ITV Breakfast Limited already.

Any broadcaster who treats their audience with contempt - however bright or dim that audience may be - doesn't deserve an audience.

Audiences don't have to watch the shows that broadcasters make. You owe them respect if you want them to watch, as they pay your wages - either through advertising or the licence fee.

Anyway, talking of the thick as ****, Fiona Phillips is taking a break from being hounded in the street by people asking about anti-wrinkle cream to return to GMTV and stand in for Lorraine for a couple of weeks.

Great! GMTV was never the same when she left. I know she seems universally hated on the internet, but in my opinion it lost something when she left, and we will see that when she returns.

I like Fiona Phillips.

Its Kate Garragoyle I don't rate.

Ah same as me, I've never been a fan of Kate. I mean she is OK but I always feel like she is looking down on me.

Actually, this could perhaps be the lead-in for a longer term role back at GMTV. Fiona Phillips was rather good at GMTV. GMTV could do worse than bring her back, especially if Lorraine Kelly decides to move to BBC One Show.

It says a lot about Kate Garraway when she makes Fiona Phillips look good.

Not sure there is much of an opportunity for a long term role at GMTV given that it will be no more come September. Lorraine appears to be staying with ITV for now.
