Do you really think that anyone was at an advantage by having the answer mentioned in an entirely separate feature?
If they needed any sort of 'clue' to be able to answer a GMTV quiz, then perhaps they shouldn't be entering in the first place!
If they didn't have the intelligence to know the answer in the first place, then they probably wouldn't have been any the wiser even if they'd seen the feature on Live Aid's anniversary.
Because the competitions are weekly now and the feature was yesterday it means people entering on Monday would be at a disadvantage.

How so? If they entered with the correct answer they're at no disadvantage at all. If they answered with the incorrect answer - well, serves them right, but nothing stopping them answering again. It's their fault, not GMTV's, they entered with the incorrect answer, and I'm fed up with TV companies not standing up for themselves allowing viewers not to take responsibility for their own choices.
And nowadays anybody can find out an answer to a question they don't know within seconds online - should all online entrants be scrapped because they are at an advantage?

Just imagine if the questions were actually quite difficult, you decided to pay your money to enter and then the next day the same competition is open but the answer is revealed inadvertently. Now you could argue that you simply could enter it again, but if you weren't warned that there would be a clue later in the week, it's unfair as you may have decided to wait before enterting.
I know its all a bit of a silly argument given just how easy the questions are and the small amounts involved in entering, but as I said they're gonna be hyper-sensitive about this kind of thing when they're about to revamp their breakfast programme.

Are you referring to GMTV, who were tarnished in a very ugly scandal about cheating thousands of people out of cash not so long ago?
If they're being extra vigilant now then (A) its their own fault that they're having to, (B) its a bloody good thing they are, (D) what happened to (C), and (C) ah - there it is.
Dial 0909 100 4321 with your answer.
Coming up later, we'll be telling you why the answer is both (A) and (B).

I really don't see the problem with having the answer to a question mentioned casually in context in the programme. As long as it's not someone specifically blurting out the answer it's fine, to have a blanket ban on any mentions for a whole week is just silly, especially a fact as well known as that

Heard the music on Monday. Very good. Very modern. Think http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EvfsUX4Np0c
GMTV and ITV staff being shown the graphics and branding over the next two weeks. I'm told it's very clean, very sharp.

True GMTV have been tarnished, but I doubt there is any rules (and whatever happened to the kitemark or whatever that was planned to be introduced?) forbidding shows from revealing answers to competitions as part of other discussions. If shows set a topical question, chances are the topic will be discussed, especially when a competition runs for a week.
