Re: The Morning News - I imagine it'll stay as it counts towards the C3 News Output, rather than the breakfast franchise output. Depending on how the news output on Daybreak works though it could end up with a slightly higher profile presenter if they also do the Daybreak news bulletins too.

Doesnt the Morning News presenter also cover the London regional news on GMTV? So if money it be saved and the morning news presenter does Daybreak news and London regional news, the regional news slots would need to be kept away from the Daybreak news bulletins

Couldn't you just do an opt? Daybreak news presenter does the national bulletin, regions opt out, and then Daybreak presenter reads on into the London news.

If you engineered the right junction it could appear pretty seamless. The BBC used to do the same thing - pretty much - when 60 Minutes and the South East at Six local news both came from Lime Grove ISTR.

I can't see the Morning News being dropped, if Daybreak was using the ITV News branding then it might have been dropped, but seeing as the Daybreak logo has nothing to do with ITV/News branding I would say the news is safe.

Urgh.....the way the letters sit side by side like that to spell out a word reminds me of McDonald's.

Oh yes, I'm always reminded of Maccy D's when I see letters sitting side by side. Confused

I'm glad you noticed my comparison - unlike the tedious Facebook ones - was sarcastic.

Well sarcasm being such a rare thing on TV Forum you'll have to forgive me.

Well that's what happens at lunchtime, I know there is a break thesedays between the two but when there was a mid-morning regional summary it would go directly from the ITN Endcap to the London Today titles.

I am imagining the news on Daybreak will be a similar format to what it is now GMTV, a little desk on the far left of the studio, almost the same with the same backdrop, of course a real one this time, so I couldn't see a problem with the London News being done with the same presenter.

i don't think the programme needs a newsreader just let adrian and christine do the news and keep the LT Newsreader to do a round up during loraine and also if you do need one make helen presenter of the 530 and then brand it as an itv news summary for the news update.

then she can go next door (like the news at 1:30) to front the LT round ups. saves money instead of having 2 presenters .

I'm very much enjoying all this certainty members are demonstrating about the location of newsdesks times of updates and such and such - when in actual fact no one (with the possible exception of the insiders) have a clue what the programme will be like. At all.

Its all *super*.

I would like to See Chris Roberts who until recently was on sky news . he did a great job on saturday live which was like a magazine show and is knowlageble about both news and sport.

he also is experienced and got a journlistic backgroudn which daybreak needs its presenters to be . also Isla Traquir former five news presenter she would do well if they did a weekend.

Will this be Helen Fospero? Has she been confirmed as being involved in Daybreak?

Stuart was using sarcasm in his original post. Someone had said something to the effect of 'an eight hour shift is incredibly hard work, no-one should have to do it' (well, similar Wink ) and Stuart said 'such slave drivers' - clearly mocking the original poster. You misunderstood the post however (easily done) and it appears from your post that you thought Stuart was being serious!

I was the original poster though! Confused
