is that the actual music ?

Also according to the GMTV site
"The perfect follow on to DAYBREAK, LORRAINE will be the home of celebrity interviews and inspirational stories from exceptional people." - So it might just be called "Lorraine"? Which is better I think.

Are they going to make her the UK's answer to 'Oprah'?

It is funny how most of us perceive daybreak will be a brand new programme, and the GMTV Website has the new show simply being a 'name change'!!

That's because GMTV (the company) will been renamed ITV Breakfast. Daybreak and Lorraine are going to be their programmes.

I would think that the websites will become ITV_Breakfast/Daybreak and ITV_Breakfast/Lorraine , in due course.

Look back to the last page. It's already being discussed.

Very bad feedback on GMTV's Facebook page. Lots of people saying they'll watch the BBC. The main problem seems to be Adrian and Christine.

I do suspect some GMTV fans won't be happy, a lot don't seem willing to change or give Daybreak a chance. I can see a lot of people watching it on the first day and seeing what its like. It's either sink or swim. I do have a feeling that some diehard Adrian and Christine fans will watch though?

Moving 09.25 to 09.30. I will if STV, UTV have been given talks on this

If they're changing the franchise times, surely they'll need approval from STV, UTV and Channel, as well as permission from Ofcom.

I think what's more likely, as a previous post said , is that Lorraine will finish at 9:25, and the next programme will start at around 9:30 (so technically, Daybreak will still be finishing at 9:25). At the moment, Jeremy Kyle is in a 65 minute slot, and that would probably be reduced to a 60 minute slot.

Surely the franchise is only off-screen though, now that ITV have full control of GMTV and England's channel 3 license - so could theoretically broadcast "Daybreak" 24/7 if they wanted. All it means is STV and UTV have the right to opt out at 09:25? Presumably they don't have to have an actual end to programming under Ofcom's rules, too? So theoretically they could end the morning franchise mid-sentence should they want?

im going to agree with most people and say Lorriane will finsh at 09.24 50 sec, then bang on 09.25 STV / UTV logo will appear welcome people to company and then follow on with an ad break.

It would also be nice if there pushed forward and overhaul the rest of daytime.

That's melodramatic! Alot of people will give 'Daybreak' a go at first, it's what happens after a month, 3 months etc that makes the difference.

I must confess, I only ever watched 'The One Show' on DTT because the Sky+ box was busy recording 2 programmes on DSat. I was also cooking my dinner/getting changed/other stuff, so not actually watching.

I do the same with the current presenters. I hardly noticed they'd changed, actually!

I think its going to come down to how much its like GMTV, not in the direct sense, but in ways in how it handles the programme, friendliness of the presenters, even what it does at Christmas, because GMTV loved celebrating it. I really hope this doesn't become too newsy.

GMTV also used to get big stars in to perform, they don't seem to bother anymore, I hope Daybreak tries to get that back again. A bit on Entertainment is good, but it's the fluff is the route GMTV went down towards the end.

I personally cannot wait to see the studio! I also hope the news segment in incorporated into this programme and doesn't take on ITV News's branding.

A lot of people will probably take three months to realise it's changed!
