The Daybreak logo reminds me of the Purple Teletext.
I like the current GMTV logo since 2009 especially when added with the clock during the programme.

I have to say I don't like that - I don't like any of the brand. "Daybreak" feels like a UKTV channel to me and that logo - the colours and the font - feel poorly designed and reminds me of a "family friendly" line of products Sainsbury's used to sell. I'll wait to see it on-screen, though, and for all we know it will change.

That logo typeface looks more like Sky's corporate font than anything else I've seen recently!

I don't think that people should get too het up on the logo at the moment - it may just have been released so that there is something official but I would think things may change many times before september. I like the actual font, looks like a newsy version of This Morning which seems to fit well with what ITV are trying to achieve. I can imagine that the purple background wont be a solid colour - gradiented most probably or perhaps a graphical view of the Thames to tie in with the new studio. Maybe not even purple! (a colour rarely used on breakfast TV)
I am very excited about the music. I would expect it to be a complete new tune rather than a reworking of GMTV. However, I would like it to see a catchy tune that could then be reworked when revamps are needed - much like BBC News, This Morning, Blue Peter, GMTV, ITV News.....
And with the studio, I am wondering whether there will be a sofa? Desk? Both?? It would be nice if an actual 'set' could be put into the studio, not just simply placing a desk infront of the backdrop/window which would look cold imo. Guess we will just have to wait and see! Never the less, exciting times ahead! Brill name bw!
