And the film doesn't look that bad either. For once a Hollywood movie about the workings of television, has the set and graphic design about right. 'Daybreak' studio is obviously a mix of evey US network morning show and the high stools of Live With Regis and Kelly, with the graphics based in ABC's Good Morning Amercia.

Unless Lorraine's show will have an interactive element in the form of phone ins, competitions etc, which can generate a lot of revenue as we all know.

Normal phone competitions can go in pre recorded shows anyway. But I suppose it needs to be live for phone in's. I just don't see how it' cost cutting to making it live. Maby I can see that they want it too be a bit more topical and talking about "today's headlines" so needs to be live. Plus I should think that the Loose Women studio isn't in use that much apart from LW obviusly and mabye the want their money's worth out of Lorraine = she most have the best job in TV - a 6 figure salery for 1/2 days work a week!

Maybe they're aiming for a Wright Stuff type show but with more of a slant towards lifestyle.

If Lorraine's show isn't coming from the main GMTV studio but comes from another studio at TLS (poss sharing crew), also used for other shows, it may not be possible to record multiple shows on the same day before the studio is needed for other productions, and it may also be cheaper (in resource terms) to do each show live?

Anyone know if they are planning for someone to cover for Lorraine during the school summer break?

I would have expected a finish a few weeks later than previous years and then the new show in september

I hear rumours that Martin Lewis's wife Lara Lewington could be joining the new GMTV - not sure what though as she's a weather presenter ( Kirsty's cover) but shes also a jounalist.

Lorraine is on all summer long with guest presenters and Lorraine will come from Studio 3 at The London Studios from September which is indeed the same studio as Loose Women.

I assume she will have a different set to LW, but can they change a set quick enough after Lorraine's show in readiness for LW to start at 12.30? I just always assumed that the LW set was fitted and was there permanently.

I think Loose Women is recorded (or mostly recorded), the same as Lorraine's show is currently.

but I am thinking like the view will they have a big tv as the background
