Most, if not all of those you see on screen will be contract rather than staff so redundancy doesn't apply.
As for the staff at GMTV, they are axing and replacing it, but the fact that the replacement is being made by the same company means that many roles won't be redundant (remember it's positions that get made redundant not staff). Except for those backroom jobs that were eliminated when GMTV as a stand-alone company ceased to be (accounts, HR, marketing, sales, admin) most jobs at GMTV will still be needed at ITV
If GMTV was forced to close down completely (as TVam did 17 years ago) then things would be different, although ITV might have felt the moral need to take on as many GMTV staff as they could
Well if ITV were being more clear cut about this by axing and replacing - rather than rebranding and renaming - GMTV they'd be no arguments as they'd all be being made redundant. I guess though ITV getting out of redundancy packages by doing it this way.
