That's true, but I doubt either make up the bulk of GMTV and Breakfast's audience between 06:00 and 07:30.

Please don't attribute Chie's quotes to me.

Kthnxbi.

I really am very sorry Gav. I wouldn't intentionally insult anyone like that.

On a bit of a catch up with this thread...

New music almost complete.
Titles work starting.
Name HAS been decided. Confirmed as I posted a few weeks ago.
'ITV Breakfast' is a convenient red-herring.
Of the editorial and technical plans so far - BBC should be very worried

I don't know what the heck is being flown about with new music being sorted for the revamped programme.

NO Music has been organised for the programme yet.

From two close sources (One working within ITV), the music is still being pitched to composers, nothing has been settled, and nothing is near settled, a composer has not been chosen. The titles probably haven't been started and for the set, It isn't as far on as the quote above suggests.

Well he would know about the music then wouldn't he. No notes are on the paper so to speak, never mind nearly finished! Rolling Eyes

and GMTV staff have nothing to do with the new look too!

well to be honest I think we all trust anoilyrag's word a bit more than you, because his given us numerous insider info which has been spot on and well you haven't really given any inside info before.

I know what one I trust more!

and most of the GMTV offscreen people will be staying I should imagine - so they will at least be informed about the new look.

I have two really good sources and one of them is in with the prep for the new programme. Set etc may well be right from anoilyrag, Music however is a long way off, I have plenty of proof that the Music has not been started, it is only being pitched.

I doubt anoilyrag could give us a composer name/publisher? Rolling Eyes

well I still think the majority of people on here would take anoilyrag's word before yours.

For one he actually works at GMTV rather than "having a friend of a friend" who works at GMTV.

If you say you have proof - what is it then?

I should clarify it is not a friend of a friend.

It is a source from the ITV 'daytime' team that will be part of the new service and another source that works closely with composers and broadcasters.

I have all the information from high grounds and nothing music wise is set in stone. FACT.

Here is an example of Emails sent to one of my source: (obvious personal sections removed)

Quote:

I've heard a few whispers about a few composers making music for the new ITV breakfast show, the one which has had all of this press attention recently regarding its presenters!! Is this true?

What does the music sound like? I heard it is finished? Does it bare a resemblance to the ITV News music? I'm very intrigued with what ITV come up with. Breakfast television can be very unpredictable.

thanks again!

Many of these emails have been greeted with the fact no music has been made yet.

That proves nothing.

Could do with hearing that from the 'insider' Plus Dave hasn't been doing any projects in the recent past as he has and still is on holiday.

he is on holiday and he is doing it. The project was pitched in Late May and what on earth do you mean? Election 2010 was Dave Hewson, or do you not count a month ago as recent.
No music is set in stone though and whilst Anoilyrag may work at GMTV the music isn't finished yet as he [Hewson] is talking with ITV about it.

One more thing, Dave didn't reply to your email, Callum Wink

I know he didn't himself reply to my email, but will do when he gets back at the start of July. Dave may do this new gmtv, and I think it would be good, but we don't know and there is no need to jump the gun or assume, but the 'insider' from GMTV was wrong with the music being finalised
