Anyone seen the Mirror article? They quote Chiles as saying that him and Bleakley will work together, whether that be on Gmtv in September or somewhere else, but he is not ruling her in or out. I think this is why they have not announced a female co-host, I imagine they are trying to poach Christine and hammer out a deal. Don't forget she was offered the role of Fiona Phillips' replacement, yes she refused, but now Chiles is there...

We can read all the "gossip" we wan't but IMO i think in a couple of months time Christine will be announced as the new host.
Firstly she and Adrain seem good friends and she'd most proberly if offered the chance want to work with him ( although I do get the point that she wouldn't want to be overshadowed by Adrian)
Secondly, her reported salery now is around £100,000 a year. Adrian's new salery is reported to be around £1.5m a year. And reportedly ( yes again reportedly!) she is being offered £1m. I'm not being funny you can say that she have a longer term career etc. at the BBC , but who woulnd't jump at the chance of 10x their salery. ( I know some of these figures may be inflated by the papers, but I don't think their far of the truth.) If she stays a the BBC she is unlikely to ever get that much!
Lastly, she rarely does anything apart from the One show now and if I was here wouldn't want to be stuck in the same roll for years. With ITV there would be GMTV - perhaps Xtra Factor and mabye even, like what is reported that Adrain has got, a Primetime series herself?

But if Holly W had to give up Xtra Factor to host This Morning four times a week, what chance is there of Christine presenting GMTV five days a week (which is what they expect from Adrian) and an Xtra Factor-style programme. Then again, Adrian's going to be hosting all that football...

exaxtly. I shouldn't think Adrian will do 5 days on football weeks. Both the main anchors will have to have a back up for holiday's/illness anyway! So if she did get xtra factor just have a day or two off.

I think the sensible thing to do, if Emma is moving to ITV News & London Tonight, would be to retain her as a substitute presenter on GMTV too - unless they really don't care about journalistic values and would be happy to get in the likes of Hollie Willoughby
Well I will be very happy if they announce Christine as Adrian's GMTV host. They are clearly not goin to keep Kate Garraway an I wouldn't want Emma on full-time, plus I can't see Adrian wanting to work with anyone else.

I suppose it could be that some of ITV News' other relief presenters could be rostered on to the new GMTV when Adrian/his unnamed female co-presenter aren't available. Just like Louise Minchin/Kate Silverton popping up on BBC Breakfast occasionally, I could see Nina Hossain or Steve Scott possibly appearing on GMTV. Especially Nina given her stint in Lorraine's slot.
