Is Fiona Phillips back this monday 27th or the folowing monday the third of september? Haven't seen any of the new promos for september apart from the LK today one. Does anyone else think the Richard Arnold Show is rubbish because i just think its not really anything special!?
I think we will see some sort of update on GMTV this year because we hardly saw any difference last year.
Fiona is back on the 3rd September, noticed the 'Sofa Factor' promo. Doesnt look as if there will be any changes at all this year...If there are any, GMTV are keeping it under wraps.
Well in fairness and no I didn't capture it, but just after the GMTV logo at 8am this morning, we here in the Westcountry got a lovely shot of the Westcountry background of the Tamar Bridges, an empty chair (with black jacket over the back) and a mic hanging over the chair.
Mind u give Fiona is back next week it was lovely to go to work on.
Seeing as there are many pages in this topic, someone might have already posted this, but nevertheless; I was wondering if the GMTV2 brand is still used on Sundays on ITV2?
Despite having stated elsewhere that I rarely complain to broadcasters, some issues do prompt me to make contact:
I am writing to express my bitter disappointment that GMTV is to broadcast normal weekday programming this coming Bank Holiday Monday.
You will no doubt claim the decision is based on "extensive public research" and I realise GMTV would only otherwise be showing cartoons or other children's programming. However, in a TV landscape (and society in general) where partitions between weekdays, weekends and bank holidays are becoming increasingly eroded, broadcasters should adapt their programming patterns to highlight public holidays. Scheduling differently on a Bank Holiday Monday helps to reinforce the concept that today is a public holiday and therefore "special".
The suspicious in me rather suspects the "business as usual" policy might be a considered part of ITV1's long-term strategy to remove all remaining children's programming from the channel.
I realise it is now too late to change the plans for this coming Monday but I very much hope you have a rethink in time for the next public holiday. In the meantime I will be making alternative viewing arrangements for Monday morning.
I think GMTV might be planning something a bit more drastic than we think this year because usually by now they start playing new promos - i.e for next week and yet there is nothing. But then again nothing has been said but i just have a feeling. What do you all think? Plus they haven't even advertised Fiona coming back have they?

So I gather. 25 years ago I'd have probably wanted this but now it just seems blasphemous.
It wasn't a Bank Holiday in Scotland Simon, and GMTV is a pan-UK service if I'm not mistaken. Some companies took it because of English head offices etc. but for others it was business as usual.
Would knowing that ahead of your letter writing have made any difference?
I'd hate to pre-empt the reply from their duty office, but for reference you can find Scottish Bank Holidays listed at this website.
