The side of the studio next to the green wall and just around the corner from where you can see the sofa in those pictures.

I don't know why people are so obsessed with this glass box.

They will have to find some way of removing the chrome supports in the windows, they have always looked odd IMO.

Knowing GMTV (if thats what we are to call it) they will propably stick some fake wood pillars over them. Then fit some window bars to stretch across the windows. Then add a red sofa!

Floor plan of the studio for those interested, compared with the current home of GMTV in studio 5.

But GMTV's current home isn't studio 7 - its studio 5.

Sorry, my computer messed up! When I clicked on your studio 5 link, it came up with the 7 floor plan. Smile

Ah... was confused then! But yes, should be interesting to see what they decide to do with the studio when the time comes.

Neither do I. It just seems like an excuse for not having to put any thought into designing a set for a programme.

A view of the London skyline may have been acceptable for the local evening news programme, but is going to be meaningless to 90% of GMTV's viewers. If the programme didn't appear London-centric before, this will certainly give the impression after the move.

It's a background - it should be "meaningless".

Nobody other than TV execs gives two hoots about whether London is in the background or not - at the end of the day it's just a view, and if it's a nice view people like it, as they did with News at Ten (pre-revamp) and as works - and is barely commented on - for This Morning. Indeed surely the best views are the ones which attract little comment.
