You've cut off the clock, and they've added an Election 2010 logo on the screens since I've last seen it.

You'd think they could afford a couple of chairs or a small sofa.

You'd think they could afford some proper floor cans with two legs rather than leaning them against the set and hoping they don't fall over.

I actually like the election set. That area is really wasted when it comes to the news. But I think the uplighting on those pillars needs to be toned down a bit. Sorry to be Laurence Llywelyn Bowen, but if you want white, never fire white light on a coloured surface. Not that much anyway. And that orange windowsil still looks out of place.

Didn't catch Ruth Langsford on GMTV today. Was she good?

From what I've seen she was good, its beyond me why shes always overlooked for presenting roles.

Eamonn Holmes to return to GMTV sofa alongside Kate Thornton ?

It's funny how ITV supposedly want GMTV to be more news-orientated and yet the majority of promos I manage to catch scream "celeb". I can safely say I've seen the same "Election 2010" trailer twice and celebrity-themed ones dozens of times. Perhaps cutting down on these would help it's image improve... ?

Eamonn should definitely come back, it could give the show the boost it needs. But if they are bringing a new woman in then Kate isn't the one for the job (even though I think she would do quite well). The answer is staring them slap bang in the face and she is even presenting on GMTV this week ... Ruth.

We all know they're a good pairing and work well. Both suit this sort of show and I think on the whole they're fairly liked. I guess we'll find out if Eamonn & Kate work well together on Friday's This Morning (presumably because Ruth is doing GMTV on Friday).

I'd say Andrew is most likely to be axed out of him & Ben, but I'm really not sure when it comes to Emma & Kate! Kate brings in the headlines, and they'd look foolish if they axed Emma despite being the latest recruit and the whole interest around who was getting Fiona's job in the first place.

If you believe the Daily Fail article, Ruth was offered the job alongside him but didn't want to work full time in the mornings. She does seem to be more in favour of late, with appearances on Loose Women, GMTV and (of course) This Morning.

In my opinion GMTV should loose Kate (Garraway) and Ben and find new presenting roles for Emma and Andrew. I actually think Andrew is very undervalued, even if he does lack a journalistic background (but then Kate (T) isn't that much better is she?).

Though, with Penny off and Jon moving off the sofa, Nina joining and Ruth apparently staying on and (supposedly) Eammon and Kate, it's hard to see how many (if any) of the existing team will stay.

What you will prob find is that Eammon and Kate T will be the main faces of GMTV, with Emma the new face of the News hour. Ruth will stand in for Lorraine and she and Eammon will keep This Morning on Fridays with Ruth then taking over Kate T on Loose Woman.

Ben and Emma will be the two stand ins for Eammon and Kate T with Nina covering Emma on the news hour.

So what you will prob find is that it will be

Emma Monday to Thursday 6am till 7am from ITN with news updates 7am till 9.25am & Nina on a Friday.

Eammon and Kate T Monday to Wednesday 7am till 8.40am, Ben and Kate T on Thursday and Ben and Emma on Friday.

Lorraine will keep to her normal. With Ruth Covering.

Eammon and Ruth will continue on This Morning on Fridays, with Ruth moving to two other days a week on Loose Woman.

Kate Garraway and Andrew Castle will disapear.

This would turn GMTV back into news as everyone then would be trained Journalists and that includes Kate T who started in Magazines as one.

Ben is not a trained Journalist - he is a Presenter with a Dance Background - they should keep Andrew who although doesn't have a journalistic background, has learnt well on the job and has presented some of the best interviews on GMTV compared to Shepard's shouting at politicians and lightweight banter between Celebrities.
Eammon and Ruth will continue on This Morning on Fridays, with Ruth moving to two other days a week on Loose Woman.
