What's delayed? And why what now?

The Christmas celebrations start from next week according to the current advert as mentioned earlier.

How come they haven't made a version of the Newshour titles that doesn't feature Penny & John ?

Yeah that's stupid, I hardly see Penny and John present together, it's either Penny and Andrew or Andrew and Kate or John and Kate.

I suppose gmtv want to present Penny and John as the main anchors.

Very true, and I also thought that it was very strange on Monday morning. But wouldn't they have had to have made many versions, or just one with plain squares.

As for Christmas, according to an advert running at the moment (saw it for the first time today), they are beginning their Countdown to Christmas on Monday (which is usual, so that their are 3 weeks of Christmas on air, before Christmas).

As for special titles, they usually add snow or snowflakes to GMTV Today, as for the news hour, I doubt that they would have Christmas titles, as it's meant to be a news programme (even though it's as entertainment based as the rest of the programme).

I'm sure that last year it was just a case of big snowflakes on the titles and the two trees in the studio.
I'm sure somebody also posted an image from an old GMTV Christmas where the studio looked tremendously full of decorations.

I think we'd all like to see something great, a Christmassy version of the Today tune, even if it's just a few bells, and as suggested last year, flying up a tree with the presenters in bauballs (would work well in my opinion), but I'm not sure what to expect.

Yeah, surely gmtv will do something better this year, maybe they'll experiment more as the gmtv studio was just new last September, maybe gmtv didn't want to play about to much with it, as for this year who knows.
As for the titles, I sure hope they'll play around a bit with them and deifinetely like to hear a christmassy version of the theme music.

did anyone capture the gmtv studio this morning, it was very festive but the christmas was looking quite bare this year. The gmtv sting had a very cheapy 'MERRY CHRISTMAS' banner going across it.
good to see gmtv today was using the christmassy theme going into and out of the ad-breaks.

Good to see they are still using the christmas version of the old GMTV theme that was phased out years ago!

I must say, not so happy with the graphics. The best set for me was in 2003, with the dark blues and red and white snowflakes.

I must admit though that the set is looking lovely. A lot better than last year, mainly for the fact that they have 3 trees (something to fit the corner bit), and each of the columns is wrapped in folliage. The only things that would make it even more Christmassy would be folliage garlands around the desk and around the rim above the windows, and of course a lovely snowy backdrop. I can only dream!

Did you see the new crane camera gmtv have now got. They had amazing views of the studio today.

Mrs Brown from the Isle of Wight [who has collected porcelain penguins for 25 years] has pledged an extra £1000.

I have faith that GMTV can bring Toga home for christmas.

They might have caught the thief/ thieves by now if they had treated the story as seriously on Monday as they did the last two days, rather than as an amusing "and-finally" sort of item. Even one of the presenters acknowledged this yesterday.
