Can you share any other plans ahead on GMTV? Thanks for the info. I would have thought, for continuity sake, that the new news location would have been thought about a bit more, and moved to a consistent, permanent home.
I respect GMTV for trying something new with this new kitchen area, but who is really interested in cooking at 8:00 in the morning? I still think they are trying too much to be like This Morning. I'll be interested to see how long it lasts.

Noone is interested in cooking when its on TV anyway, its just a time filler that adds a bit of variety. How many people honestly cook something they've seen on TV?
I think if they are having the news coming from the newsroom after 8am, they should just keep it there all the time or maybe move the news back in front of a green screen, otherwise its going to be a bit inconsistent.
When are these changes coming into effect or is it just going to be a gradual thing?
After 8am though, we won't get any of Penny's interaction with the main anchors - which is something I've always enjoyed. I mean, if she's in the newsroom and the anchors are on the sofa - I don't know. It will be strange.

It can air from the newsroom if the entire show moves to ITN or if ITV actually keep GMTV News. It hasn't been confirmed that ITV want ITV News to become the provider, thats all assumptions based on ITV's track record.
As you say, a presenter line up hasn't been announced, so you can't be certain that Penny will even be on the team!
