Difficult to tell from the still but I think GMTV's are better. Simpler and better laid out..

Interesting to see the new NBC Today graphics, and nice promo too. I think GMTV would love to have a studio like theirs, in fact they'd most probably love to have the This Morning studio.
I quite like the new NBC Today graphics, but something does bemuse me, what is the bar for at the bottom? Is it just for the website address, or does something else appear in it, such as a news ticker at the bottom?
I love the animations, and the look is less 3D but has that curved look, very nice.
I don't really see the connection with the current GMTV graphics, except there is a curve (albeit slight on the today graphics).
As for the today graphics, I do like how the bars & light animate. I would like to see GMTV do something to their graphics such as a slow moving background to the clock & ticker, basically something to entertain me whilst there is an item I'm not interested in, much the same way as a moving light entertains a dog.
The background of the today news desk is nice a simple again with the slight animations. The actual shot looks so simple, mainly because of that light grey edge to the screen that runs near enough to the edge of the frame.
The GMTV graphics however look a lot better with the split screen conversations, and for the less is more approach, especially how everything is contained in the bottom part of the screen.

Interested to note, as I'm only catching GMTV once a week on a Wednesday at the moment, is when Priya does the 615am update, they accidentally put the weather update still on the plasma screen next to her turned on it's side!
In fact it's happened 2 Wednesdays on the trot.
Is it happening as a regular occurance elsewhere during the show?

Did it happen today, I've never seen it, but it might just be that I flick through that bit of the recording...
