GMTV (1993 - 2010)

TVAM is no worse or better than GMTV, I just think it's a case of rose tinted glasses, as well as Nick and Anne being a good partnership. The closest we got to that was Eamonn and Fiona. Its rare you come across 2 presenters that gel really well.

About Lorraine's slot, it appears they want to try and phase out LK Today under the name 'GMTV with Lorraine' and literally have GMTV with Lorraine, ie just an extension rather than a show with a separate feel. If they continue like this I eventually I expect them to do away with her own titles, theme tune and other graphics and it will just be Lorraine presenting GMTV from 8.30 until whenever. But it will be interesting to see how they deal with her show when it isn't live.

I think everyone in this forum need to cut GMTV some slack.

GMTV over the years have been the morning show, most of us wake up too. Whether, we continue to watch it for its news content or showbix and entertainment content or the generally friendliness of the programme, we have to admit we all love it.

Over 2009, yes there have been many changes to the programme, and GMTV has turned a new leaf. There is more news and less celebrity gossip. Note, I said "less" not none. But, we need to stop arguing about stuff.

GMTV is a magazine breakfast show, it will ok, maybe never compare to TV-AM, but, it does come close to what TV-AM would have been like in 2009, if it continued.

Ok, we love GMTV (on occasion when it does not rile us), so can we start talking about the good points about GMTV and how it can improve (maybe, CrossChannel could tell GMTV Executives), instead of always putting down, because if we want to do that, start another forum.

My suggestion, fire the graphics team (that, frankly, make the Midlands Today graphics team look good).

They do know what they are doing, they played out the closing theme they wanted to play out.

GMTV are renowned for their mistakes. Why not use Lorraine's music? GMTV's inconsistency again...

I don't think many people will have noticed, and it's not as if Lorraine's music is much different to the main theme anyway. It's hardly worth accusing them of not knowing what they're doing.

I never even knew Lorraine's music was different, I know she has longer opening music but the stings and bed are just the same? Its just the screechy bit at the end of her opening titles used throughout GMTV??
