I quite like the new graphics, however, I think the name strap animation should have been the same as how the 'Live' straps animate, as they are simple but effective without any fancy 3D movements. Also I'm not too sure on the 3D logo or the date going up the left hand side of the screen either, but hopefully it will grow on me.
I quite like it, but I don't think the boxes will last long, nor will the date down the left hand side of the screen and the voice over seems a bit out of place. But I do like how it cuts straight to the news at 7am after the headlines rather than to Ben and Emma, then the news, I like the 3D logo/the zoom as well as the graphic animation for names etc.
From what I understand, the 'tweaks' continue through to the end of the year. The priority was to have the kit installed and running with minor on-air changes on the bank holiday.
On friday the entire grass valley mixer was removed and replaced with Sony kit, Vizrt installed, and the show went live this morning. There was no rehearsal or pilot show.
Of the on-air elements today, very little of the tweaks made air due to the slow news day. The jury is out on the boxes, but many have grown to like them as mentioned on the forum.
What will happen in the near future is the pace will pick up, transitions will become more apparent, and more news injected up to 7.30.

No. Nice to See the January Launch titles back, But was it just me thinking that the lorraine titles where a little too short for the music? I could be wrong though.
