I was only partially watching, but was the completely wrong GMTV trailer just played out then after the late ITV News?

Definately. Was on about how Ray triumphed being the winner on the X Factor in the style of Leonas trailer last week. And appearing on Monday which is Christmas Day so it was definately the wrong trailer.

I presume that it should have been the GMTV Happy Christmas promo which this year was filmed in a stately home by the look of it with the presenters (and Dr. Hilary) dancing and drinking, but no crew on the south bank.

When did Martin Frizzell join (the one who enjoys shagging her so much, he gives her a job?)

Martin joined on January 1st, 1993, moving straight over from TV-am as I recall. Fiona was of course with the station from day one too, albeit only as ents reporter (latterly Hollywood gossip)

I'm sorry, but I just can't obide GMTV. Here are the reasons:

- Most of the news hour is taken up by competitions, commercial breaks, non-stories, and Penny's unfunny jokes
- The presenters (except for John Stapleton)
- Lorraine Kelly and her 'everything's smashing' presenting stlye.
- Fiona Phillips not being able to get through 20 minutes without mentioning Coronation Street. 'There's been some fighting in Irarrq, but hey, I bet Cilla and Les will be getting up to some business in tonight's Corrie...'
- The rip-off competitions (which technically, is just a bigger rip-off than Richard & Judy). Example:
What is the name of Tony Blair's wife?
A) Cherie Blair
B) Natasha Kaplinsky
C) Vera Duckworth
Calls cost 50p per second. Calls usually last around 10 minutes

Yes. If you want news watch BBC1. Personally I prefer hearing stuff about Corrie Smile

I like GMTV, i don't really want hard news in the morning. I tend to get the big news during the day.

It would be nice for GMTV to change their set. A major revamp is needed.

Me too - I prefer the news in the evening.

I agree GMTV need a revamp though. New studio, graphics etc
