Exact same title sequence as today but with a 3d rather than 2d logo at the end of them. Use of the 3d logo introduces the extension to the opening sequence - all rather clever.
will look forward to this will the TOTH titles be 3D too ?

They haven't used a voiceover in years. Here is a YouTube clip of when a voiceover was used, in 1999!
Also, what will the 'glass wipes' entail?
Overall, I'm looking forward to this. I'm sure it will make the programme look more fresh, modern and polished.

I presume the 'glass wipes' will be like those on Sky Sports News, were the logo comes at the screen all 3D gradient ridden.
I'm looking forward to this little revamp actually, BBC Breakfast looks so cold in comparison. I don't mind there being a voiceover too, I liked it when they had one during the 2000 era (or about that time)

Looking forward to the voice over. Very proffessional sounding and quite 'SKY News'!
I expect it will say something like 'GMTV With Kate Garraway and Ben Shepard' or even annonce the time and date. I guess it will put an end to the presenters welcomes at the TOTH when they credit their names and tell us the date and time. Now it'll be like 'Hello.Coming up........here's the news!!!

First time I've seen Carla Romano presenting today. Having never really had an opinion either way of her, I genuinely thought she was excellent.

I'm being VERY trivial here, and I apologise for that. But this is not necessarily the case - the presenters of The Today Show on NBC, of which I am a great admirer, announce their own names almost immediately after the voiceover announces them during the titles.
Off topic, but I always have thought it peculiar that breakfast television here in the UK isn't as massively popular as it is in the USA. It's must-see TV across the pond, and the anchors there are more of a household name than perhaps their British counterparts.
I suppose a significant reason is resources - the BBC and GMTV can't afford to pump the amount of money than the US networks can.
But I think there is potential here in the UK to create what could be a very lucrative market.

Will the voiceover go the some way, NBC's Today shows goes, but would it be like:
"From The London Studios, this is GMTV with John Stapleton & Penny Smith on today, 31st August 2009"

I thought she was good, I was surprised to read on another forum that some people prefer Emma. In my case, I do prefer Emma, but still, Carla has been fine.
As for the NBC Today opening, it's a bit dragged out:
"From NBC News, this is Today, live from Studio 1A at the Rockerfeller Plaza, with Matt Lauer and Meredith Viera"
During that, they have a sweep over the audience outside..GMTV doesn't really have that, so I doubt the voiceover would say that much!

"You're".
Although I admit it would be difficult for the audience to tell the difference between the spellings.
