Nick Dixon, formerly of Scottish Television, is to be the first male newsreader on GMTV in fourteen years, according to this article. It means a rethink for the camera crew, as he is taller and broader than the other newsreaders.
Nick was also the evening continuity announcer on Grampian, on the day presentation switched from Aberdeen to Glasgow.(boo hiss nae) Sad

Was anyone watching in the Wales region on Thursday 19th at 8:07am? GMTV opted out for Wales News when all we got was a Wales News Sting through the whole news slot. Does anyone know why this happened?

A "rethink for the camera crew" because he is taller and broader than other newsreaders???? How long does it take rethink adjusting the camera height and zooming out a bit to frame him up correctly? Rolling Eyes

A while back, well a few years now i remember during Anglian News, durin GMTV that it broke down and we got that GMTV animated clip thing with the GMTV music, ive tried to recreate it - is this what it's like?

Now, using Sony Vegas (Free Trial), ive managed to chromakey in a background (badly i know) of the London skyline, just wondering what you all thought. I woud love GMTV to have a live backdrop.

Did anybody get the feeling that Fiona was not prepared for Carole Malone to come on and absolutely let rip on Heather Mills McCartney.She looked really uncomfortable with the whole thing.

Christmas is here for GMTV.
A very festive looking studio from this morning, 4 Christmas trees looking superb.
Christmas graphics, this year on the GMTV graphics, 'Seasons Greetings'
I would upload the pictures from this morning, but my TV capture card is playing up yet again.

Why have they changed the camera angle for the weather?

It cuts off the top of the captions.
