Graphics went down however the sound was unaffected.

I noticed the God awful GMTV Logo that was superimposed onto the screen and the break-bumper was a light blue with a darker-blue gradient with a slightly distorted GMTV Logo on it. All back to normal by Lorraine though.

Granada was fine on DTT at 8:10am today, but as said many people had trouble via DTT today. It just didn't look right when they were playing the music over a static caption.

Central was fine.

I did notice a slight flickering of the GMTV Hold Graphics when they did travel.

I think They should have some sort of backup emergency hold music instead of just GMTV Highlights, or as another way they could have gone back to ITV with 20 minuites of creature comforts insted. I don't normally watch GMTV at 0600 but Since I was still half asleep I nearly fainted when Fiona came on! Laughing Rolling Eyes

I think the most interesting part of todays fun had to be the clock displaying a time that we viewers would never normally see. OK, so it wasn't the holy grail of 23:59 and the logo was wrong but it was nice to see anyway.

During the recent discussions about why the GMTV clock would be on screen after 9:25am or before 6am, we all came up with ideas of GMTV covering news stories or being on air as part of another show outside of their broadcast hours but I don't think any of us thought we would see the clock on screen between 6am and 9:25am showing the wrong time. That means that we might just get to see a 9:26 or an 11:59 one day if we are lucky. Of course, todays events didn't help answer the question of whether GMTV's clock is 12 or 24 hour.

To me, this event suggests that GMTV's clock resets to 00:00 (or more likely 0:00) after a power failure. I would have thought it could be set automatically from an external time source but maybe someone has to manually set it, which makes me wonder how accurate it actually is.

The clock you're seeing on those screen grabs is the GMTV clock at the time of the 'GMTV with Lorraine' recording. As GMTV isn't on air past 9.25 the clock has been designed with that in mind thus leaving no space for extra digits. The clock that reads 3:08 is actually in 24 hour mode at 13:08 the time of day that, that particualy segment of 'GMTV with Lorraine' was being recorded on at the start of the week. Normally the GMTV clock covers this up but because of today's problems it wasn't covered with anything.
