Caught a bit of GMTV Today, around 8:00 this morning. Haven't seen GMTV for aeons.

The GMTV Today titles were a lot shorter than the last ones I saw, and lacked the presenters-smiling-vacuously.

The pillar behind the sofa now has a section with the GMTV logo embossed upon it. I assume that this was all new today, as it's the first Monday of September? Apologies if it actually changed ages ago - I rarely see GMTV.

EDIT: Oops, only just spotted this, earlier in the thread: Embarassed

That would have been nice with a plasma instead.

In reference with the above post, it changed sometime last week.

Well the new opening titles were very short, it was basically just a sting

What is funny is that all other titles, including the GMTV sting and end of parts are unchanged

I can see them going back to the old titles tomorrow!

Plus where was Fiona? She was advertised as coming back today, yet Penny was presenting with Andrew

Fiona was ill. I'd like them to use the current titles, but put the presenters on as well.

Has anyone got any clips of the show before 2002?

Has anyone got the titles from 1996, the image above. Also, can you tell me when GMTV stopped using this:

And started using the one in 2000 (similar to GMTV logo now)

Also, when was LK Today, Entertainment Today, Newshour and GMTV Today introduced?

Thanks in advance.

I taped the programme today, so, if I can, for the first time, I will try and get the titles and upload, hopefully, in mp4/wmv format.

Hasnt it always been split into the newshour, from 6am-7am GMTV Today 7am until about 8.35am and then Lorraine Kelly from 8.35am onwards.

GMTV Today started January 2000. Before then the middle bit was known as just GMTV

LK Today is more recent as Lorraine's programme has had many names

The News Hour probably started whenever it was in 1993 or 1994 when they scrapped everything and went back to the TV-AM format of programmes

When GMTV first started the 8.55am strand was called Top of the Morning and was presented by Lorraine Kelly and then Amanda Reddington and I think Fern Britten.

The First part of the show was from 6 - 8.55 and called GMTV and presented Mon - Thurs by Michael Wilson & Fiona Armstrong. Eamon Holmes and Anne Davies presented on a Friday and Sunday.
