It uses the same chord base as the 1993 music, that is why it puts you in mind of it.


I'm quite aware of that - I was referring to the actual arrangement of this new theme. For example the 2000 mix used the exact same chord base but doesn't remind me much of the '93 original (bar the signature motif obviously) as much as this newer arrangement does.

is actually straight out of the original 1993 opening arrangement, albiet on different instruments (listen at 0:50-1:00). The headline bed leans very heavily on the opening bars of the original 1993 arrangement.

Listen from 0:10 to 0:23 of the original, and then the headline bed, and you will hear the resemblence...

Because the news sting is supposed to be the 'tail' on the opening sequence - the original plan was for short titles then the opening bed to build into a news sting, as the original music was never used that concept never made air. There is no news sting at half past because there is no titles sequence to accompany it.

Did anybody notice at 09:00 on Lorraines show there was news and weather with a news sting? Just wonderd weather that's new as iv never noticed it before?

No, that's nothing new, I think they've used a sting there since the relaunch

What was wrong with GMTV This Morning? in between 07:46 and 08:00 Richerd and Kate were looking in to the wrong camra, 0800 Kate messed up the opening by loosing her que, then at about 08:05 You could her penny talking from the studio, then at 08:09 on the end of the regional news Ident went strange and maybe you could here people in the gallery or something, at 08:35 there was only about 10 seconds of bedding for GMTV With Lorraine after the opening titles, and at the end they nearly run out of time and Lorraine just manages to say bye before the Matalan advert came on. Whos idea was it to present outside? Anyways it was one intresting show Very Happy I hope somebody captured the openings from outside and the GMTV With Lorraine opening? Thanks Very Happy

I did quite like Ben's line towards 8.30 of something along the lines of 'it's been lovely to present outside, but thanks to Kate we'll be back in the studio tomorrow'. She seemed as though she'd had some reaction to little sleep, strong coffee and a lot of bright sun.

Following allwoodley's comments in the previous posts I also have some of the Regional footage I filmed on Monday where Calendar News I didn't think opted in back to GMTV.
