GMTV (1993 - 2010)

It didn't last long, but then again neither did that incarnation of GMTV. It wasn't long before the proper theme tune was brought back and the set was more than just the sofa and backdrop (the walls around the different parts of the set were just plain white)

Didn't they relaunch on the Tuesday following the bank holiday Monday in August. The backdrop was reverted back the following Monday when Eamonn & Fiona returned.

Truly awful background, thankfully it was quickly changed.

Liked the ending on Friday but understand that it's probably best to only do it when worthwhile, eg something interesting going on on an OB. Wonder how long before an mp3 of the tune will be floating around, I guess the regional opt has the new version playing?

Have to agree, it just didn't even seem remotely believeable. Surely they check these things out on a standard TV set first, before reasing them?

It was certainly very fresh to have something a bit more clear in the background, but that was also the problem it looked like a clean photograph not a view from a window.

If anyone caught it in Wales this morning, Wales news (8:10) was late starting so we managed to hear a fair bit of the GMTV (breakdown?) music. Sounds nice

I quite like the new music, but I think the GMTV main theme is a bit too squeakey for 6am in the morning!, also I think they should have the Lorraine theme on for the main show with a new video.

We heard a clean version of the bed that the presenters talk over at the top of the hour. So it's not a full-on theme like the 1993 version they used to use.

Has anyone noticed that with the new set lighting, the sofa area is lit properly but the news area is still dull like it was at relaunch? Just a small thing that bugs me
