It uses the same chord base as the 1993 music, that is why it puts you in mind of it.
I'm quite aware of that - I was referring to the actual arrangement of this new theme. For example the 2000 mix used the exact same chord base but doesn't remind me much of the '93 original (bar the signature motif obviously) as much as this newer arrangement does.

I love it, seriously I think it is amazing.
It suits the titles to well, its all bright and fresh and upbeat, and its great to hear an orchestra and not a mumble of computer sounds. Like mattyt said, it brings consistency to the whole look, and I cannot fault it.
Now, I have to say this GMTV rebrand has been a success, the set is lovely now, much more homely and cosy. The graphics are nice, except maybe the ticker. Now, the music is great. Also, Emma is settling in well and shes more fun now.
Presentation wise, I'd say GMTV looks better than BBC Breakfast now.

Whole package sounds great. Really disliked it when i first heard it this morning, but after watching it again on here it's really beginning to grow on me. I like the headline bed, the beeps give it a very upbeat and newsy sound. I'm not keep on the encap. Does anyone find the GMTV logo a bit to big and the text a bit of an afterthought?

Kate shown what a great interviewer she was today, I'd go as far to say today she did her best interview ever. It was with the head of the protesting group, I bet most other people would lose their cool with him but she stayed very level headed and raised some very good points.
Did anybody else see it?
I'm also really warming to the new music now. I still found it a little screechy today but I'm starting to get used to it, perhaps that was the initial problem.

I think she handled it brilliantly, despite the circumstances. Surprised she didn't lose it with him to be honest!

I don't understand why people are raving about the new music - I think it's pretty awful. As someone mentioned on the other page, it's very American and way too much strings. Although I feel change was needed, it should have been change for the better.
However, I must add the Loraine titles are an improvement.

I agree she was the ULTIMATE professional today, really handled herself well and to be honest earned herself staus and reputation at GMTV. Its occasions like today that you realise they are so capable of handling delicate, political issues and i think the 'new' GMTV is much better equipped to do so. Well done Kate!
