they just show what kind of an outfit GMTV is.The Newshour should be separate from the fluff on GMTV Today and have a whole different set of astons etc

If ITVplc ever own GMTV outright (don't they own 75% at the moment?) I wouldn't be surprised if the newshour becomes standard "ITV News"-branded (theatre of news, and all), and the GMTV name therefore doesn't appear until 7am each day!

It's been rumoured in the past that if ITV plc ever bought Disney's share in GMTV, they would just shove CITV in the slot.

Looks like a refresh for September.

New promo after ITV News, the GMTV logo is same, although it has the "today" sun, with flares instead of the current block circle design. A few extra sparkles and a new but similar background.

That's actually the studio London Tonight/Today was filmed in before LNN got absorbed into ITN.

It's always nice to have a refresh every now and then. I do think that they should just change things slightly, and September is always a great time to do it.

I do hope we have some new astons, and on screen graphics as well, the current ones, as I have previously said are annoying.

As for the studio, all that they majorly need to do is to get rid of the backdrop, as said, screens similar to the BBC News would be great, and most probably wouldn't take much away from the space in the studio. Though I agree about studio 7, though aren't ITV hiring this out as a venue, due to the views, therefore they wouldn't be able to do so if GMTV had the studio.

I'd love to see a totally news studio set up. Same idea with a sofa, windows, etc, but bring it up to date a bit, similar to the RI:SE mark 1 set, lots of screens, spaceous, and nice.

I wonder if GMTV would ever consider moving out of the london studios to another location of their own.

What's with the wooden GMTV logo replacing the shelves in the left corner? There's also a huge wooden thing behind Charlotte Church at the moment, just been a prome for GMTV in September, the logo didn't look any different tbh. Really wish they'd do something, we can but wait I suppose. Reaaly like the BBC screens idea or a move to the London Tonight studios. Got to say, was reading a paper on Friday last week & it referred to the lurvely Ben as ......'the surprisingly married Ben Shepard'.... did make me titter! Laughing

I don't know for definite but this morning where the tall plant was, on the wood panel bit, there was a screen or just the GMTV logo. Also, the sun looked more transparent in the advert for September.
