Wait What?
When did you find this out, before 'Wakey-Wakey'? did they show a new GMTV sting?
I had a feeling they would do the above, did they?
He's talking about the endboard on one of the new trailers; it's blue with a blurred sun in the background, similar to the current opening titles.
Got any caps of this?

The show then ended with ©2008. I guess everyone was too busy to change the date. Mind you, how long would it have taken? Its not like they had to add an egg cup or anything.
That would have involved updating a graphic that would only be used once. While not impossible to do I would imagine it wasn't considered important enough to change.

I really don't think it matters because above anything else the 99.9%+ of GMTV's output was in 2008 and this was one show!!!!! As said they only needed to use it for one show and to be honest EVERYTHING else is inconsistent so why is this a surprise - all i can say is that from a continuity point of view next year will hopefully be second to none!!!
I also want to know if there are any caps of this mr motivator background?

Abit sloppy not to bother changing that bit, it's hardly a major job is it? It's not really a case of someone not thinking it was important, just that whoever was responsible forgot. Not exactly crime of the century though.

Well, GMTV tried to start with a completely different look to TV-am, but they soon went for something that looked like a clone by 1993.
I can't see why they need to substantially change their 'Today' segment either editorially or set-wise unless they want to make drastic alterations to the viewer base they have.
A refresh is nice after Fiona's departure, and the idea of a stand-alone 'news area' (sans-CSO) is good as it gives some commitment to the 'newshour' segment.
There is alot more they could do with Studio 5's area though to make the programme look different (just even with studio furniture) during the GMTV broadcast without impacting on its other uses during GMTV's downtime.

Let's just all hope the changes are good enough to stop GMTV returning to the TV-AM spinoff it's been for years!!
