I'm not sure why they feel the need for a London background. Surely any non-specific cityscape would be better. GMTV doesn't normally make an issue of the fact that it's from London, so why enshrine that concept unnecessarily in the set design?
No real need really. The feeling was after years of ignoring London, it ought to be celebrated in the countdown to 2012. Hopefully it won't be the ridiculous out of focus attempt that was pulled in 3 days.

So will the new music be broadcast on Monday as part of the whole package or will we have to wait another week or so before it is released ?
A bit late in the day isn't it still to be remixing music or whatever so near to the relaunch ?
Is the music just a revamped or jazzed up versio of the current music or is it totally new & different altogether ?

Interesting about a new news set. I wonder if it will be outside studio 5 (as said by anoilyrag) or if it will be in the same studio but where Lorraine's studio used to be, given that she is now in the main studio?

What is the point in spending all this money if they are going to use a screen print type image wether it is hi - defintion or not ?
They had something like this at the very beginning of the last studio revamp & it was a good quality image but they soon changed it back so what's the point in changing again to just to be changed back again after viewer complaints if you know what i mean ??
It's these screen print type images not the actual studio layout etc that make the current GM TV studio look cheap & nasty

Second new theme music is being introduced, now somebody else has posted that this is not happening yet !

We are getting that many different conflicting posts about this GM TV thing with one person saying one, then another person saying a totally different thing & then something different happening again ! ! !

I thought the studio is now going to be hi - tech etc ? It doesn't sound like it if this information is correct
No one said it was hi-tech. It is up to date and modern.

It's called television. Studio 5 is ripped in and out 10 times a week for kids and ITV sports programmes. The thought was that the rip out yesterday was the last and for the sake of one show it wouldn't go back, but it is. THat's the bottom line.

Oh dear. Ok, there is MORE THAN ONE BIT OF BLOODY MUSIC, AND THE MAIN THEME ISN'T MIXED DOWN YET BUT EVERYTHING ELSE IS. So, currently there are provisions for the main theme not being ready, but by all accounts, it might be.
