GMTV (1993 - 2010)

Ta, Ash!

That logo looks very wrong to me, too many badly created glass effects on the logo... what's with the dot in the upper right corner? The GMTV lettering looks like a font I downloaded once but never used because it looked too tacky!

There's something about the style of all GMTV-related graphics that makes them cheap-looking, the same old tricks like the glow around text, the font choice, the bold colours, whoever decided how the graphics should look and however much they change their graphics, it's like they haven't changed their style very much over the years. The logo is an unusual shape, sightly bizarre, unusual details, don't really get it yet.

It's the eye of the fish of course! Look closely!

Well personally, I love it. Its much better than the old drab logo. This new one has a great shape to it, yes it is unusual, but its different. I like the font, a bit like the old one but a bit more funky.

I am a bit surprised many of you have said its bad, I don't think its the worst logo I've seen. Its better than the old one, and I'm sure we will all get used to it eventually.

Of course! Whoever designed this must have a great love for fish... and dutch clogs!

Unusual? What's unusual about it?

Of course most here only like BBC style design where everything must be flat to fulfil their knowledge gained from their Design GNVQ. Nothing else allowed.

Looks good to me, but of course it would be silly of me to judge it until i have seen it properly a few times on screen.

Give them credit for taking a risk and trying something new whether you like it or not. No doubt there would have been complaints if they kept the sun logo which they've had since it launched.

I really like it and like people have already said hats off for going for a new and different style. Its a lot more versatile in terms of the closk - perhaps the same shape etc whereas the sun logo was awkward and slightly hard to utilise as it took up quite a bit of space. I think it retains a similar font whilst being new and fresh and like i said before nowhere near as bad as what i thought when i compared the colours to iceland. can't wait to see it animated and the new set etc

I like it, it still resembles the current font but conjoined to make it more smoother. However I would like to see it on screen at the relaunch to get more of an impression.

And me to be honest. I think that's the real test. If it looks good animated and onscreen its a winner if not there may be trouble!!!!!!
