Isn't it time for the annual "GMTV will be given a massive over-haul in September,," rumour? Rolling Eyes Which everyone will take as fact - only to be disappointed come September.

It seems to happen every year...and people never learn. Laughing

Not this year...

Is there any studio tweaks this September? Any new titles for GMTV Today? a new backdrop to replace the ancient one? Any more inside news?

I would love to be a new look this Autumn, but not if they get rid of the set. I know they broadcast to the whole of the UK, but they have fantastic views from their studios, they could use as a backdrop.

The studio is spoilt with that current backdrop, and they don't use the flashing lights no more!

I still miss the last Newshour titles.

i agree they should replace that old back drop of sun rise over london circa 1993. it looks really stupid in winter when it's dark outside yet they have a fake 'view' of day break over london.

This morning has a real window with a view so why not gmtv. Failing that they could always have a live webcam view.

didn't they change the view once and then changed it back again?

GMTV would look amazing, if it had a proper window view like This Morning, or maybe looking down onto the busy streets of London, like Good Morning America, in Times Sq.
Is there studio facilities in and around Piccadilly Circus?

Yeah when they launched this studio, okay not the best view but it really made the studio look good. I just don't understand why they are keeping this one. Plus they have added white lights to the bottom of it now, exactley what they done a few years ago in the old studio.

Plus where has the jib camera gone?

Perhaps there was so little news in Wales that HTV simply didn't bother producing a local piece. Rolling Eyes

I think GMTV could do with a total make-over, maybe move the studio round a bit, new graphics, maybe some new colour schemes, a new FONT, maybe jazz the music up a bit?

They tried to jazz-up the music before and it only lasted one day!

Have to agree. GMTV should get a WHOLE make-over. Everytime they rebrand the studio its not really massively diffrent. Sofa in same place, news, weather aswell.
They should be more daring and change alot more. They have the same format every time and its getting a bit boring. I also think they should use diffrent colours, staying with the (GM)TV style logo.

Big breakfast redecorated each summer , BBC breakfast build a new set every few years and what do GMTVdo, put in a different colour sofa and call it a revamp.

I miss the live studio webcam they used to have, really interesting to watch duding the programme, especially when they were off air for commercial breaks. But they didn't put one in their new studio Sad
