Oh sorry - here's me thinking that anoilyrag didn't have a day job and spent his/her whole life on here.

Get a grip, people - it's just a television show and it's not the B-all and end all of life.

Besides, he/she said him/herself that he'd made his last post on GMTV for a while. Now can't you get on with life and leave him/her alone, you dull dull weirdos?

Well this is a Television Presentation forum, thats the whole point, tough!

A sad farewell to Fiona - not sure if the mornings will be the same without her!

Looking forward to the new look GMTV - sounds very exciting.

i thought it was sad too but i think it might be just the right catalyst to spur GMTV on because she was the last on a very successful partnership - as in eamonn and fiona and when they were together GMTV was at its best - well i think it was anyway. Now that shes gone it might let GMTV move on to something new and exciting!

New backdrop, looks amazing

Just out of interest and me thinking world of high tech. Will the backdrop be a fixed printed piece like now or will they use 'Barco Screen' style displays to allow for changability between programme segments.

New sofa, still red.

Set is modern yet 'GMTV'. Much concern that it was going to be too high-tech and date quickly like Sky News... it's not.
News stays in studio 5.
Lorraine Kelly set binned.
New programme titles are stunning.
Graphics package fits together really well..finally.
The logo info I gave you was spot on, but the animation is far more complex.
JAH really is a p(r)ick isn't he/she?

Since when did the Sky centre look dated?!

To be fair anoilyrag, I would say that Sky News only looks (a bit) dated because of the way it's been used - similar camera angles all of the time, not used to its full potential and so on - if used correctly, the set would look just as good.

Ive just looked at images from 2005, its the newswall image that made it look really nice and looked fresh.

I did prefer the old Sky Centre though!

Back to GMTV, is it going to be all one programme then?

Funny, considering I was actually defending you from the people who were having a go at you for not posting new info every second.

I'm well aware that this is a presentation forum and I don't really need reminding of it - thank you all the same - but people just need to calm down sometimes. anoilyrag has given you info, which is very kind, just try not to be cross with someone who is clearly telling you what's going on as a favour rather than as a professional job.

The sofa may still be red, but is it actually a new sofa ?

If it is a new sofa is it a different shape to the current one ?

Is the layout of the studio set going to look different to what we currently have or or have had in the past ?

I.E. News ? Weather ? Lorraine Kelly ? same locations in studio ?

Is the newshour strand staying ? If so will it have a different part of the studio etc ?

It's weird that they haven't announced anything yet if it is such a big revamp?

Why can I see them doing something similar to what Breakfast did before moving into the news studio, something like -

"And that's it from us, and everything you see around us. We hare having a huge revamp for when we return with a shiny new set and some new titles, so see you in 2009!"??

Probably because this "revamp" isn't as big as you're being led to believe. Rolling Eyes
