Also, The Sun are reporting some troubles for Emma Crosby, Sky News boss John Ryley wants her to stay on until March - when her contract ends.

But of course, she begins GMTV on the week of Jan 5.

Although I would urge you not to read anything printed in The Sun as gospel truth, you have to remember that GMTV Executives would be aware of Ms Crosby's contractual obligations before offering her a post.

If the article is true then no doubt GMTV have either negotiated a settlement for her early release from BSkyB or are in the process of doing so. Either way, it's hardly an issue for discussion on here.

Why should we disregard Britain's best selling newspaper and listen to a lone poster on a forum? Other papers are also reporting she won't be ready to start on Jan 5th for contract reasons

Almost perfect!
Except, the left-hand side is rounded at the bottom too (same as the left-hand side top) - see the earlier post on the rounded edge example. It's effectively a 50px rounded edge rectangle on the left.
Apart from that, it's very close. The font is bespoke, and there is a very slight design across the printed version of the logo - but too hard to describe.
Good job.

I swear I saw it on Lorraines desk today on a piece of paper. Have a look tomorrow

Oh, now I've seen it - I like it!
Yeah, its a shame the sun theme is gone, but thats modern, especially the shape, with the curves and points.

I am surprised theres a custom font for the logo, and I guess that font will be used across all branding, such as straps and captions!

Now I think the main thing is the set, and the new music - its going to be weird seeing that 15-year-old music going Crying or Very sad

I'm sure someone made quite a similar mock in the mocks forum

Its going to be strange, but interesting. I think its what GMTV needs to be honest.

I'm really looking forward to seeing this on TV. only 27 days to go! Do you think maybe they put the new logo on Lorraines desk to give an idea of the new logo? I don't think a lot of people would've noticed as they don't know what the new logo is going to be like (apart from us and the designers for obvious reasons)..

I don't think most people know there is going to be a new logo ...

It's really not the saddest. For once at least TV Forum is being used for what it was created for.

Here is my attempt, the gradient is probably wrong, but I think it looks better this way.
