Anyway, good but bad choice. She's far too good for banal GMTV.

Well I didn't see that one coming, Emma Crosby joining the show. I thought they would have promoted somebody from within.

To flesh out that release...
From Jan 5th John Stapleton will continue to present with Penny Smith (Newshour, or whatever it ends up becoming)
Kate Garraway will present with Ben Shepherd and Emma Crosby with Andrew Castle - from 0700 to 0835
Lorraine Kelly show continues.
So it is KATE who takes over the three-day run from Fiona.

Not sure about the presenters having more of a role than the other two as its been said that presenting duties will be split equally.

I for one think Emma Crosby is a great edition.

So they will be getting a new look then, thank god

I'm not holding my breath. They'll introduce something, and then backtrack by the end of the week.

Emma & Kirsty are great additions to the GMTV team, I'm actually looking forward to this new look!

I do think Emma should be the main presenter though. It seems from what I've read, that Kate will present with Ben (Monday to Wednesday) and Emma & Andrew (Thursday to Friday) making Kate the main female presenter.

Very interesting choices! Seems both presenters' bosses had been wanting to keep them when you think Emma had become a regular business presenter on Sky and London correspondent for FOX business, and it looks like Kirsty had been destined for Breakfast! (source)

Hopefully both will add some level of gravitas to the program (which is much needed!)

Seeing as it says the four will have equal roles, could it be they actually move to them presenting 5 days a week on alternate weeks?

And the whole ' and I am sure viewers will love our new look ' bit confirms a relaunch

It;s not really that bad, we don't know what direction they are heading in yet.
