Gavin- why don't you get back to pulling the trollies together at Aldi (or whatever it is you do)?

Uh huh. That's what I do.

I thought the only moonlighting away from that posh office of yours was when you appeared on just about every TV game show going Wink Laughing

So how are the relaunch plans coming along?

Any relaunches that I've been involved with (elsewhere) ultimately end arguing over the `coffee table` issue.

Designer A: "Remove the table, bring the presenters closer to the audience"

Designer B: "Keep the table, it's an extension of the viewers living room"

lol. I believe the thinking is more open. Everything is under scrutiny, from the presenters to the on screen straps - the discussion of which is happening over the next two weeks. I understand the time scale has shifted, with a definite re-launch in the first week of January.
When GMTV comes back in the new year it will be a VERY different beast.

Fiona only has about 8 weeks left. Why is there still no announcement on her replacement?

Fiona will present her last programme on December 19. I'm unsure on when Andrea will present the weather for the last time.

Somehow I find that very hard to believe. Unless it's aiming for a completely different audience (which is unlikely) it's always going to be be more or less the same. It may be packaged differently in January but it will still no doubt be shallow and flimsy with little depth.

You mean Fiona is going to *shock horror* work for an entire week? Shocked

I've noticed recently that there are hardly any ITV1 trails in broadcast during GMTV.

There's now a load of GMTV trails for various guest and upcoming events.

Major push on the GMTV brand?

Remember that GMTV is a seperate broadcaster to ITV and ITV need to pay for advertising their programmes between 0600 and 0925.

Not nowadays. It's a tit for tat deal. GMTV gets advert slots in ITV1 after the 6.30pm news, and at weekends too. So makes sense not to pay each other anything.
