Well GMTV appears to have given up "covering" the financial crisis. Between 700 and 730 after the news, their main story was....jellyfish. A few minutes later and they were back doing...baked potatoes.

Absolute rubbish. And they think this is what people want.

Haven't you heard, there isn't a crisis any more -

What's the matter, has your finger broken? Or is it your remote?

This has been the problem with GMTV for the last 2-3 years. It ditches the serious stuff at the first opportunity in favour of what we saw this morning. And their financial stuff with Stapleton in the last few weeks has been good.

Either of those lighter items on their own would have been bearable (neither were very good). But both? And to lead on one of them at 0710? It's poor.

GMTV has totally lost the formula that made it good (until about 2004)..so I don't understand why people are defending it.

Are people starting to miss TV-am, now? Rolling Eyes

According to a popular tabloid newspaper today, GMTV bosses want Anna Botting from Sky News as the new presenter.

Is 'anoilyrag' around to refute / confirm or otherwise ?

Apparently the GMTV website (www.gm.tv) is offline and Lorraine has just apologised live on air saying 'it'll be back later on'. It's currently showing a dodgy holding page with adverts for General Motors!

No truth in it. However Helen Fospero would be welcomed back in to the GMTV fold...

.com domains have a period where an owner can get it back for an increased fee in the first few weeks after the expiration.

However as .tv is not administered by verisign i'm not sure what their procedure is.

That's a ridiculous statement.
And you assume that they are my bosses.

What are you having a pop at him for?

Besides, do you really think senior management are personally responsible for domain registrations?

Get a grip.

Anoilyrag- I assume someone senior is paid well on your web team to ensure the domain is kept available. That seems basic. We of course value all your GMTV titbits.

Gavin- why don't you get back to pulling the trollies together at Aldi (or whatever it is you do)?
