As has been mentioned before on the older thread, GMTV is indeed going widescreen on Tuesday. Looks like it will coincide with a complete revamp. As regards the GMTV studio webcam...
...I believe it's normally only operational between midnight and midday (and it's also accessible through the GMTV website). It'll be interesting to see if they have the webcam on during the studio rig.

Nothing appears to be happening, is it froze?

It will be a shame if the new newshour and today titles are going. I hope they are reused with the new music.

Fantastic news. Even if it's just a new lick of paint, or a new backdrop I'll be happy.
I always miss these important announcements, and having it done before Eamonn and Fiona return.
Oh well. Should be interesting to see what they do, perhaps we will see the sofa from the top of the hour idents being bought into the studio, or maybe the current one will just be recovered, a brighter red I say.
Has the current one always been salmon, or did it start off as red, but has faded?
Ben Shepard was on a programme, I think it was Des & Mel, and he said that the sofa had been designed in order to make the presenters always sit up, so that they don't slouch.
After hearing that I always feel sorry for the guests.
Could it be to do with them going widescreen? i.e. the current set up may not work, as the cameras may need to be further away to get them into the centre of the frame? Does that sound feisable?

Most likely, as they did say they couldnt go widescreen last year, because of programmes with camera shots. Im so excited, hehe
