I don't think the TCP/IP architecture allows actually physical contact over internetworks so really you don't have much to worry about.

For future reference, as I notice you only have one post under your belt, don't talk complete rubbish on here. That's what Metropol is for.

There's a GMTV thread here. Why not use that one, instead of risking 'abuse' as you call it from other members.

For future reference: abuse is generally something like actual physical harm, or threats which have any real sense of being a threat. Sheesh.

So whenever anyone posts for the first time, their comments aren't valid then? And do not deign to direct me to another site. Ever.

A threat of violence is unacceptable, whether you have the means to follow it through or not. Why don't you take replies such as "Are you looking for a slap," and take them to the Metropol site? I'm reliably informed they talk a load of rubbish there, so you'll feel right at home.

Again, might I remind you of that rule. It's quite easy to follow:

"By posting on this website once you are a member, you agree not to post material which is... abusive..."

Just for future reference.

A threat of violence is abusive.

you're really not going to fit in round here are you

Everyone knows the rules on here are just to stop our dear friend that talented newsreader, Chris Rogers, throwing up another hissy fit when someone calls him names again.

What happened with Mr. Rogers?

BigB, the established posters around here are well aware of the rules. You need not dedicate your first two missives to explaining how things work around here.

"Are you looking for a slap?" is one example of the type of verbal sparring and repartee you will find all over this site. If you don't 'get it', then get over it.

And who "reliably informed" you that "they talk a load of rubbish" at Metropol? It's splendid to know that its the talk of the town... whatever town you're in.

Now quit quoting the rules or I'll kick you square in the nuts.

Ah well you certainly are "reliable". Anyway, JM is having some 'quiet time'. Too many threads about winkies this weekend.

For this and other rubbish, come to Metropol.

It amuses me how my short ascerbic throw away remark so much enraged somebody that they felt compelled to sign up to the site and start quoting the rules at me.

I've been around here a while now deary, I know what goes on here, and I believe that famous saying about grannies and sucking eggs would apply to you.

Nice try an' all, trying to sanitise comments such as "are you looking for a slap" as repartee, but no, I'm not buying it.

And goodness me, don't we go on the attack when an "outsider" steps on our toes!

"Are you local?"

I've taken offence to a post, and I've had the courage of my convictions to say so. So shoot me. I'm sorry if you feel threatened by a reasoned argument. Maybe I should just threaten you with "a slap" or a "kick in the nuts" instead.

And as for Grannies sucking eggs, Square Eyes - you suck what you like sweetheart, but do it in private please. xx

Fine, I'll shoot you.
