The young girl on the ITV 1 team was on tonight who is quite cold compared to the likes of Maggie Mash and Bob Preedy .It's now been over a year since the Leeds announcers were sadly given the axe from Granada and i just suddenly thought i wonder where are they now they seemed to have sunk without trace apart from Kerry who sometimes does the Border weather .
When Border continuity went to Leeds it was a shock and such a change very bland to start with but then we gained Mama Mash so it got better .It used to be such fun on here defending the fabulous Maggie Mash from the likes of Johnny Boy and co .
As for ITV 1 and the service they provide for Border it is sad and bad .
Tracey Crawford had just moved to the ITV Network Centre by newly appointed Controller of Broadcasting Helen Stevens (her old boss at Yorkshire) , to 'implement the next part of the merged Broadcasting department plan'
Thanks for the info someone at my UNI does know Helen Aitken but was bit cagey about what she is doing now anyway i was more interested in Maggie Mash she's the one i miss the most.
Well of course Maggie has been heard more recently in the background of the ferry on ITV's "Booze Cruise" and is currently narrating on Yorkshire TV's regional "Life after Jimmy's", Thursdays at 7.30pm

The one and only. Post Grampian she moved to Granada as an announcer, managed to survive the continuity merger with Granada and Yorkshire, was then made Senior Announcer, then that position was made a management one. Has been doing bits and pieces in Leeds since the Continuity department was made redundant last year - managed to avoid the redundancy rounds herself.

Well on Yorkshire we get Kerrie every other day, Border weather seems to get Simon Gilbert mostly I think, although today it was Jon Mitchell on Border and Granada weather and Kerrie Gosney on Yorkshire and Tyne Tees weather
