I believe its one local story per news bulletin during locally presented news hours.

Looks like the BBC are going to use this as leverage to get their own local breakfast rules relaxed and scrap the ban on them airing music between 7-8.30am, instead pledging to make breakfast shows 60% speech.

That sounds worse. Many ages can listen to BBC Local Radio speech shows and find out about local news and information. The minute they play a song from their easy listening old skewing playlist suddenly listeners realise they are listening to a station aimed at the older listener and will switch off.

I don't think youngsters are listening to BBC Local Radio anyway.

I’d have said the same, but over the road from me some 20something builders have BBC Radio Berkshire blaring out right now. #gofigure 🤷‍♂️

I listen to BBC Radio London.

You must be having a laugh. It's the worst radio station I've ever listened to in my life.

I listen to BBC Radio London.

I get the impression you're very much the exception rather than the rule...

"You're listening to BBC Radio Localsville with me a minor local radio presenter, today on breakfast we'll be discussing how Brexit will affect Nowhere and Localsville, this is followed by a flirty chat with the travel girl from Inrix and what is Localsville's favourite biscuit? But first, here's Two Hearts by Phil Collins on your only local breakfast show"

I wonder how the 'BBC Introducing' slots do with the younger audience. The bits I've heard have all featured younger acts

The sport phone ins always seem to get a decent mix of younger punters. Suspect that may be the only time though.

Yes it’s a gossip Twitter account, but it does have a good track record - including breaking that Pandora is joining Heart (as announced earlier this week).
