Looking back at that thread, they didn't the first night, then the second night was very ropey.

Wise to go to Click. There's no more scheduled official updates until 6am. Sky News is inevitably just repeating what's has happened in the last few hours as it has limited resources in the early morning.

BBC World News have now split away from the simulcast. Martine Dennis in London.

Sky News now have James Matthews presenting Sunrise LIVE from the scene.

Watching just for 10 mins & it looks like SKY are still rolling with the news rather than Sunrise programme format.

*Sorry didnt see page2*

Interesting decision for James Matthews to present from location - not sure he has done this before - but im sure he is no stranger

Reporting Scotland will have a 15 minute programme at 1pm, in place of the national news.

It looks like the only mention on network last night was Kirsty Wark breaking the story towards the end of Newsnight, reading out a few lines from Jim Murphy's phoner with the News Channel.
I can only assume that the Glasgow newsroom is fairly lightly staffed at that time on a Friday and whoever was on duty headed down the road to cover the story, so there wasn't anyone available to do a newsflash, even locally. Bit of a shame that Pres weren't able to do a pointer towards the News Channel when the story's seriousness came apparent, though.

When did the BBC last stick with rolling coverage of a domestic story overnight?

I'm thinking the England riots 2011. I may be totally wrong though.

The last coverage I remember from was the Boston bombing back in April with a simulcast with Clive Myrie & Babita Sharma followed by Mike Embley & Julie Peacock

Andrew Wilson LIVE on location, just started, taking over from Colin Brazier.
Complete change of presenting on SKY as a result.
