Well I liked Gladiators as well and a one-off would be suitable. My favourite gladiator was Wolf because he was strong, popular and he was a local hero to me.
Saturday night TV has gradually got worse over the past 10 years or so. I didn't catch Phillip Schofield's programme on Saturday but yet another show axed after only a few episodes (or one in this case) is pretty appalling. Why commission them in the first place?
I think a one off Gladiators would be quite good. As long as the original presenters and gladiators remained (they might be a bit old for it now right enough).
The one I always remember, was that coloured chap Sam against policeman Paul Fielding; Paul won convincingly and Sam had to be replaced part way through the contest anyway because he got injured. Don't know what year that was.
In its time it was very much a must-see show for myself and others; if it returned then I would welcome it, provided the format remained pretty much unaltered.
