I don't like the new idents very much and the purple box is irritating, of course I want the old ones back, let's face it, who doesn't? I Love the old ones, all of them. What the announcer should have said on Sunday night was 'Look your last, the face of BBC TWO is about to be RUINED forever'!!!!!!!!!!!!

If they had to change the idents they could at least have kept the channel name centralised as it was, as someone did a mock for yesterday.
There still not as good as the likes of those introduced in 2000.
Even Paper Cut Out and Crystal Ball (well, maybe not!)

I wish the BBC would bring out a video which featured all of the '2' idents in full without voiceovers. After all, it wasn't just the ident enthusiasts like us who loved them - even people who aren't the slightest bit interested in idents could tell you what their favourite 2 was, and I bet there are a large number of people out there who are now missing the old ones.
And if they can bring out a CD of BBC World breakfiller music, for goodness sake, anything is possible!
I think the box should be killed. If the beeb want to keep the BBC TWO there at least remove the box and just have it in black or even white and the BBC needs to be the same size as the TWO - are the BBC turning back to the pre 1990s and with 'on two in 45 minutes the weakest link while here on one question time from Leeds'. i don't think tey would as they need to compete with ITV1&2, now that would be confusing if itv channels were called 1&2 without 'ITV' and if the beeb did the same!

A DVD of the old BBC TWO Idents would be even better, just think the whole ident, no voiceover, perfect picture quality, what more could anybody want, does someone wanna suggest this to the BBC!
The likelyhood of the bbc or any other broadcaster giving you a clean version of every ident in full with no v/o would be highly unlikely, you may start broadcasting them yourself!! It would be worth a try though! - BBC World breakfiller CD? is it a sign of things to come???

I wouldnt want it. Our house has 3 VCRs but no DVD player so a DVD would be useless to us.

Yeah a video with every two ever made in full with no voice overs, not forgetting the bumpers, the odd documentary, a few unused twos(there must be some) ooh heaven. Nicky S (or for that matter any of our other beeb employees) you could atleast try suggesting it. If they brought it out in DVD only, i'd probably go out and buy a DVD player!
