If you're in Manchester then I'd recommend you checking out this exhibition:

- Manchester Television and the City: The Ghosts of Winter Hill.

Lots of Archive from Granada and BBC North West to watch. Clips of the opening night of Granada, interviews with Sidney Bernstein...

It's by no means perfect, but certainly interesting and free!

Looks worthy of a visit while I'm up at the family homestead over Christmas!

Good to see it's running until April, I thought it would only be a short term thing, but I'll definitely go and see it next time when I'm in Manchester, same with the Christmas Markets.. Cool

It may close sooner than April now, given that Urbis is apparently closing in the spring as part of the process of hosting the National Football Museum.

I went with a mate last weekend and it's bloody brilliant... see if you can spot Hilda's ducks...

Oh and you can also buy them in the URBIS Shop.

Don't forget that Urbis is also the home to Channel M and if you go in the evening between 5 and 7 you can watch them rehearse and then broadcast the Channel M News live!
