I got my confirmation too, having the same problem Confused

When I put in the username and password, the box disappears for a few seconds then appears again.

EDIT: I got logged in on Firefox, but you need Internet Explorer to watch anything

Had the same problem logging in at first using Internet Explorer, but once I had set the browser to enable cookies from www.bbc.co.uk, all was well. That is, until I downloaded a programme, which could not play due to DRM issues ... Sad

On the signup page it says it will not work for users on Windows Vista.

I've signed up but no confirmation E-Mail as of yet.

By the looks of things they're up to registrations until 8am. I didn't sign up until around 2pm so maybe tomorrow for the email...

I signed up at around 12pm so maybe a tad off with 8am. Smile

I've figured out that it actually logs into the website without telling you. Sadly it won't let me download a thing due to the password problem.

EDIT: You have to put your bbc.co.uk username and password in. Certainly not clear.

There is one unexpected bonus. If you look in your library directory (typically C:Documents and SettingsAll UsersDocumentsMy Deliveriesiplayer_live) you'll see you get clean copies of various idents that play before the start of each programme...

Aside from the fact that BBC iPlayer (and also 4OD) requires IE, I don't like how there's no way of configuring the app to
download programs into a folder of your own choice, it all gets sent to My Deliveries, within Documents and Settings.

I prefer have all my multimedia stuff in a partition seperate from the main Windows C: partition, for obvious reasons.
So, if I download a program from any Kontiki based TV downloads service, I have to go to the My Deliveries folder
in Windows Explorer, and move the file across to my Multimedia partition once it's finished downloading.

*tuts*

There is in fact a way of changing the destination of any downloads that come through. In the BBC iPlayer Library window, click on 'Preferences', and then select the 'Advanced' tab. Uncheck the 'Allow BBC iPlayer to manage where the programmes are stored (Recommended)' checkbox. Click on the 'Browse' button to assign a new destination directory for your downloads. Once selected, click on 'Save all changes'.

Simple.

Also why have your formatted your post so oddly, adding your own line breaks? It makes it look weird and only filling 1/2 the width on a wide-screen monitor.

If you go to...

C:Documents and SettingsAll UsersDocumentsMy Deliveriesiplayer_live

There are some nice high-res BBC idents Smile
