At least Breakfast musters up some decent news most of the time, not like GMTV which seems to have less news than many tabloids.
That's because GMTV isn't a news programme. Breakfast is supposed to be.
Although the fact that they won their initial contract on the fact that they were going to be an 'American -style rolling news programme.' shows how much they stuck to it.
Something must be wrong when their 2 main anchors call for their to be more news in it.
Why doesn't Fiona just speak to her husband?! He is the editor in chief after all!

Switching over to something else, maybe but not BBC Breakfast, "a boring way to start you day"

Thing is, even if Get up & give or Fun in the sun where still produced each year at GMTV. It just would not work like it used to. GMTV used to have a crakin line up of people to pull off such things. Ross Kelly, Sally Mean, Esther McVea, Anthea Turner, Amanda (forgot her surname) and many more. It used to feel like a proper big team on such occasions. Fun in the sun certainly used to get me up in the morning just to see a nice blue sea on me tv. These days the program is just like more of ITV's daytime depression. One thing that is becoming apparent at the moment is that it looks on screen as if Andrew and Fiona dont get on. It just looks like they rub each other up the wrong way each morning. I think Jon and Penny should present GMTV Today as they are crakin together and the know how to handle news.

In recent years during school holidays, We get GMTV Today from 7.00 to 9.25. Remember the times when we used to get cartoons and kids presenters from 8.30 till the end during the summer (Timmy Mallet, Simon Parkin, Little Ferne Cotton, Power Rangers (I remember it being shown duing the main programme), Pokemon and The SImpsons

You mention all of those that hosted the kids section yet missed out on one. That being Mr M, he hosted them for years, how I miss his 'Power Rangers are martial arts experts, so don't copy them, you hear me!?' Mr T style warning.
